Important notice for travelers

Please notify us (ANA CARD U.S.A customer service: 1-800-733-5558) of upcoming trips so that we can place a memo on your account in order to prevent unnecessary security blocks from being placed on your card. If the bank has no memo regarding your trip and notices your card has been used in a location distant from your local area, the bank may place a block on the use of your account to protect against fraudulent use by a third party.

*Although you may have informed customer service of a planned overseas trip, toward providing you with the highest level of credit card security, depending on the country you are traveling, the location and/or the amount of purchase, there is the possibility that a temporary purchase block may still be put on your card. If you are ever unable to use your card, please contact customer service immediately for assistance.


Almost all credit cards issued in the U.S. do not contain IC chips. Some stores in Japan and Europe may accept only credit cards with an IC chip, and you therefore may not be able to use your card in such stores. We kindly ask you to check with the store staff before you use your card.
